How overtime works in Nevada

Nevada adds a daily overtime rule for lower-wage workers: if you earn less than 1.5 times the state minimum wage — under $18.00 an hour while the minimum wage is $12.00 — you earn 1.5× for hours over 8 in a 24-hour period, plus the weekly 40-hour rule. Workers earning $18.00 an hour or more follow the federal weekly rule only. (A mutual written agreement for a four-day, 10-hour schedule can waive the daily trigger, but not the weekly one.)

Is this calculator accurate for Nevada?

It applies the overtime rules described above with the same maths payroll systems use, and nothing you type ever leaves your device. It is still an estimate: exemptions, union contracts and local city rules can change what your employer owes, so your employer’s official record is what counts.
